Dr. Zhongzheng Fu has an extensive background in human neuroscience and behavioral modelling. He obtained his Bachelor in Science (Physics) from University of Hong Kong. He obtained the Ph.D. in Control and Dynamical Systems from California Institute of Technology. His work focused on the neuronal basis of cognitive control in humans.
In 2023, Dr. Fu joined the Department of Neurological Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center as an assistant professor.

I received my B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science and M.S. in Neuropharmacology from Peking University. I’m a graduate student at UT Southwestern Neuroscience and interested in understanding human cognition through single-neuron data. In my spare time, I like reading, hiking, and watching movies.

I am an MD-PhD student in the Neuroscience Graduate Program at UT Southwestern. I studied neuroscience and was in the computer science honors program at the University of Texas at Austin for my undergraduate studies. I am interested in studying the foundations of neural circuitry that inference and decision making. In my free time I like thinking about fabric and textiles, going on walks, and driving places.
